The fans of the Florida Gators gave one of the coolest tributes to Gainesville native and former University of Florida groundskeeper Tom Petty at Saturday's game against LSU. The stadium ("The Swamp") full of 90,000 fans sang "I Won't Back Down" during the third and fourth quarter of the game.

According to SECcountry.com, the Florida AD gave the go ahead to make this a tradition moving forward at all home games. It will be added to singing "We Are The Boys" between the third and fourth quarter and make makes it was to the top of the "coolest traditions" list.

Tom Petty died at the age 66 this past week after going into cardiac arrest. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
