After a recent survey of NFL players found Buffalo was second only to Oakland, California as the least desirable city to move to even if their salary was doubled, here comes some positive news about the city we love.  Buffalo ranks in the top-ten among cities with the best quality of life.

There's a recent study that calculated income, cost of living and health benefits, commute time, number of hours worked compared with time off, percentage of people with income below the poverty and local unemployment rate.

Six of the Top 10 were in the Midwest.  Buffalo came in at Number 6.  The Top 10 Cities With The Best Quality of Life:

  2. Lincoln, Nebraska
  3. Minneapolis, Minnesota
  4. St. Paul, Minnesota
  5. Omaha, Nebraska
  6. Buffalo, NY
  7. Lexington, Kentucky
  8. Lubbock, Texas
  9. Fort Wayne, Indiana
  10. Fremont, California

How about cities with the lowest quality of life?  New York City was in Bottom 10.  So was Los Angeles, California.  The city with the worst quality of life was Miami, Florida.  It just goes to show that beautiful weather isn't everything.
