Garth Brooks Tour Photo Goes Viral in Buffalo, New York
Garth Brooks has officially announced his next major touring event. The Blame It All on My Roots: The Arena Tour will kick off this August in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Now, the big question for Western New York fans is: When will Buffalo get a tour stop?
While no Buffalo date has been announced yet, fans are hoping it’s only a matter of time. If you have never seen Garth perform in concert, it is more than just 90 minutes of music, it is an experience to say the least.
The Last Time Garth Brooks Played in Buffalo Was Historic
Do you remember the last time Garth Brooks performed in Buffalo?
His last show took place at what is now considered the old Highmark Stadium. Today, that stadium is roughly 50 to 60 percent demolished as crews continue tearing it down to make room for future parking associated with the new Highmark Stadium.
That concert was more than just another stop on a tour, it became part of Buffalo music history.

If you were there, you witnessed the final time Garth Brooks performed at the Buffalo Bills’ longtime home. Many fans also remember the iconic photo he shared before the show, standing backstage and looking out at the empty seats that would soon be filled with thousands of fans. Today, many of those same seats have either been removed or demolished.
Could Garth Brooks Return to Buffalo?
If Garth Brooks adds Buffalo to this new arena tour, the most likely venue would be KeyBank Arena. However, there’s also plenty of speculation that Buffalo could land one of the first major concerts at the new Highmark Stadium once it opens.
Either way, it would be a memorable event.
Brooks has promised one of the biggest and best tours of his career, and fans know opportunities like this don’t come around forever. Legendary artists don’t tour indefinitely. At some point, today’s arena tours become tomorrow’s farewell tours, or exclusive Las Vegas residencies.
That’s why many country music fans believe this is the time to see Garth Brooks live.
Buffalo Fans Are Ready
Buffalo-area fans are anxiously waiting to see whether a Western New York date will be added to the schedule.
Whether it’s at KeyBank Arena or the brand-new Highmark Stadium, a Garth Brooks concert would undoubtedly be one of the biggest entertainment events in the region.
If I had to choose, I’d love to see him help christen the new Highmark Stadium with one of its first blockbuster concerts. It would be the perfect full-circle moment—from his unforgettable performance at the old stadium to an incredible new chapter at Buffalo’s newest landmark.
Perhaps we could even recreate that iconic backstage photo, this time overlooking the new stadium as Buffalo begins a new era with one of country music’s biggest legends.
