John Rich Spotlights Western New York Company in New Video
How cool is it when you see one of your friends or a local company make national news?
Here in Western New York, we’re always quick to support our local businesses, sports teams, and hometown people. So when I saw country music star John Rich promoting a company based in Akron, New York, I couldn’t help but share it!

We’re usually the first to grab our phones whenever Buffalo or Western New York pops up on TV or social media. Whether it’s the city, a local landmark, or someone from the area making headlines, we text each other asking, “Did you just see that?” or call to celebrate seeing Western New York getting recognized on a national stage.
Congratulations to my friends at Woodmaxx!
John Rich, one-half of the country duo Big & Rich, recently shared a video featuring a Woodmaxx wood chipper that he purchased. During the more than four-minute video, Rich praises the machine’s quality and highlights the fact that it is made in America by a veteran-founded company.
Watch John Rich explain why he chose a Woodmaxx wood chipper in the video below.
Woodmaxx is headquartered right here in Akron, New York, where its equipment is designed and manufactured. The company has continued to grow in popularity over the past several years, and I’m proud to say that I also serve as a spokesperson for Woodmaxx.

Whenever someone you know—or a company you’re proud to support—gets national recognition, you want to help spread the word. That’s certainly the case here. Congratulations to everyone on the Woodmaxx team, and thank you for your continued dedication, hard work, and partnership.
If you see the WYRK crew on the road this summer, be sure to ask about the Woodmaxx “Hook Me Up” T-shirts. If you score one and we spot you wearing it at a country concert this summer, you just might get an upgrade courtesy of the team at Woodmaxx!
