“Every family needs a game night!” That is what my wife has been telling me and as our sons start to get a little older, it is something that we are considering. Our sons are 4, 2 and 1 year old and finding something to keep them interested and entertained can be the challenge. Plus, we are very cautious about tiny board game pieces laying around for our youngest to pick up.

From hide and seek, to Call of Duty (not sure we are ready for that just yet) I have put together a list of ideas your family can refer to when faced with a rainy day or an ongoing game night!

Outdoor Family Game Night Ideas

Family game night can be a great way for kids to learn new things or improve other skills, like counting and waiting for your turn. It also helps to understand teamwork and patience. I remember some of the fun games that we played as kids with mom and dad. Most were board games like Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit. I don't remember how well we did with the games or who the winners were, but I do remember laughing and just enjoying the time with the family.
