The Thursday drive to work may be a little tricky this Thursday as a forecast is calling for some lake effect snow to start flying at the wrong time.

This comes as we learned portions of Western New York saw over four inches of snow on Wednesday and caused issues on the roads for some. Before the school day started, there were accidents and fender benders all over Western New York.

Portions of the area along Lake Erie and Lake Ontario may see more the same for the ride Thursday.

Heads up! Lake effect snow will briefly re-organize Thursday morning east/northeast of the lakes. The snow will only last a few hours and accumulations will be minor (spotty 1-3") but the timing will be near or during the morning commute for Buffalo and the I-81 corridor.

Things are not going to be fun in the areas of the snow. On Wednesday, there were as many as thirty accidents reported in Cheektowaga, not far from the Buffalo - Niagara Airport.
