FeedMore WNY is hosting its 15th annual Walk Off Hunger, presented by Evans Bank. You're invited to help fight hunger in Western New York by taking part in the walk on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at River Fest Park, 249 Ohio St. in Buffalo. Registration will begin at 10 am and the walk will start at 11 am.

The walk, which is a total of two miles, is open to all ages and abilities, and it's dog friendly. Registration is $25 per person or $20 per person for groups of four or more. Kids ages 12 and younger are free. Registered walkers will receive Walk Off Hunger-themed shoelaces, a registration bag, access to a virtual auction, and more. All of the proceeds from Walk Off Hunger will help FeedMore WNY provide food to hungry children, families, older adults, and veterans. FeedMore WNY serves Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties. Tara A. Ellis, president and CEO of FeedMore WNY, said,

Sadly, the rate of food insecurity is 25 percent higher in Western New York than it is for all of New York State. Walk Off Hunger is an opportunity for our community to come together and take meaningful steps to alleviate hunger throughout Western New York. In addition to registering for the walk, participants have the ability to launch personal fundraising pages to provide even more meals for our neighbors in need.
