Easter is this Sunday and a great tradition returns to the Broadway Market! If you are going to do some shopping to get ready for the weekend, consider helping the Erie County Sheriff Mounted Unit support the Response to Love Center.

According to a post on their Facebook page, after canceling last year’s event due to the COVID pandemic, the Mounted Unit and Sister Johnice will be collecting cash donations and food items for those in need.
“The past year, organizations like the Response to Love Center have experienced a significant increase of individuals and families in need of services,” stated Sheriff Howard. “I am glad we could organize this donation drive again to help Sister and our community and do it safely.”

The Broadway Market will have extended hours for the next few days. Shopping at the Broadway Market is probably my single favorite tradition in Western New York. My mother and father made it a point to take us every year on Holy Thursday. The market has a smell that takes me back to those days when I was kid with all the baked goods and meats and candy, it simply is not Easter without a stop in.
