This Huge Store Is Opening In Western New York This Week

You may want to clear that calendar this week, as there is a grand opening that is about to happen at one of the most popular stores in one of the most popular villages in Western New York. The newest HomeGoods will open its doors to shoppers this Thursday morning, and a massive crowd is expected to be there!

If you have never shopped at a HomeGoods, this will be a good chance to get the grand opening deals on things like Halloween and fall decor, lamps, mirrors, kitchen items, and unique furniture. When you shop at HomeGoods, you might find some things you never knew you needed!

But the buzz about HomeGoods is really heating up among residents of East Aurora and the surrounding areas. East Aurora is known for its small businesses and charming boutiques. There are some who don't love the idea of another "box store" style business popping up. It was not all that long ago that residents fought off the plan to build a Walmart in the Village.

But this Thursday is the big day, and according to posts on social media, you'll want to get there early.

WIVB reports that "The store will open on Aug. 21 at the Aurora Village Shopping Center on Grey Street. Opening day hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with regular hours switching to 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Sunday".

I was just shopping with my wife at the stores in the plaza, and there were many people walking up to peek inside the new store. I grew up in East Aurora and remember when there was a Super Duper and an Ames store in the same location. It seems that the plaza is overflowing with popular stores, and a new Starbucks will also be opening soon. I would suggest being patient when parking and pulling in and out of the lot this week.
