If You Have These In Your House, Your House Is Outdated
This morning we were talking during Clay and Company about how Clay wanted to get some more drapes for the house and we told him that buying and using drapes is starting to get outdated.
Hey, if you don't know, you don't know.
They make black out blinds which are becoming much more trends than using drapes. Side note--if you are younger you might not remember this, but apparently, people used to actually iron their drapes before they put them up?
Anyway, if you are about to sell a home, there are a few things that you may want to upgrade before putting it on the market. Even if you are not selling your home, you may want to upgrade a few things around the house before you sound like the girl who called into Clay & Company who started comparing her newly bought home to the restaurant, Salvatore's on Transit Road (lol).
According to Trendir.com here are the 7 things you should start to think about changing out:
1.) Too Many DIY
2.) White Appliances
3.) Small-Scale Furniture
4.) Chevron.
5.) Over-the-Top Drapes
6.) Built-in Entertainment Systems
7.) Textured Ceilings
8.) Frosted Light Fixtures
Now, number 7 on the list is a problem that the MOST amount of people called about. Tons of people in Western New York still have their popcorn ceilings. It is annoying. You want them down, but you don't exactly know what to do. Well, roll up your sleeves and give yourself a weekend because it is not that hard. You can do it.
Here is a little help that I used when doing my ceilings and they came out great! Happy updating!
