Police in Niagara County spent the past week arresting people accused of crimes. Niagara County comprises several cities, towns, and villages, including the City of Lockport, the City of North Tonawanda, the City of Niagara Falls, the Town of Lewiston, the Town of Lockport, the Town of Wheatfield, and the Village of Youngstown.

One of the notable arrests in Niagara County this week includes the arrest of a Buffalo Police officer. The 53-year-old man is accused of fatally shooting his wife, 35-year-old Alexis Skoczylas. She was found deceased in their home in Sanborn. Woods is facing a charge of second-degree murder. He has been employed by the Buffalo Police Department since January 2008 and is currently suspended without pay, according to WIVB. You can see his mugshot below (#3).
