The center of any city is usually looked at as the heart of the region. However, in cities all over the Northeast many communities all over the region have been struggling to come back from the pandemic.

The last couple of years in Buffalo have seen several coffee shops, night spots, restaurants, and even a grocery store shut their doors. Now, while that may have some folks discouraged, one of the great things about Buffalo is that the people are resilient and are always willing to step up to make things better for the region.

Starting this week, you're going to have a new place to get something to eat and drink downtown, and it's coming to the historic Hotel Lafayette.

According to a post on Facebook, the brand new Soiree Lounge & Grill is opening inside the Lafayette Hotel on Washington Street at Lafayette Square, inside the space that was the old Pan American Grill.

The Soiree Lounge and Grill, which is having a soft opening from April 2 through April 4, will feature good music in a luxury ambiance with cocktails and small plates, all in a smooth and grown environment.

While for many years Buffalo was well known for its wild nightlife along Chippewa and Allentown, it seems Buffalo has been well overdue for more lounges and cocktail bars.
