Jamestown, NY Ticked Off About ‘I Love Lucy’ Statue; What Do You Think?

The Jamestown area is extremely proud of the television icon, Lucille Bal. After all it is her hometown and the location of Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum & Center for Comedy, which hosts an annual comedy festival the first week of August.

The statue that was revealed in 2009 is causing a stir that is making it's way to news outlets all over the place due to the group on Facebook We Love Lucy! Get Rid of this Statue. They're saying this statue does not represent Lucy well, and it doesn't even look like her.

The statue is more specifically in Celoron, NY and Mayor Scott Schrecengost says that the statue would cost at least $8,000 to fix or redo and he has no intention on using tax payer money for that.

This year at the annual festival Jerry Seinfeld will be headlining.
