It was arguably Josh Allen's best game in the NFL thus far -- a 44-34 victory over the favored Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon at Bills Stadium.

Allen tied a career-high with 415 passing yards, completed 31 of 38 passes and had four total touchdowns. He also committed zero turnovers.

It was the kind of performance the Bills needed in order to beat the Seahawks, but what many fans don't know, is Allen had to play under difficult circumstances.

According to WIVB, Josh's grandmother Patricia Allen, passed away unexpectedly in California. She was 80.

According to Pro Football Talk, head coach Sean McDermott said he talked with Allen Saturday night on whether he wanted to play and Allen said he wanted to.

“That always could happen. I think Josh certainly felt it last night but when I asked him, he said he wanted to play. I really appreciate that he wanted to play and that he stuck it out, said McDermott. You’ve got to be able to compartmentalize that for 24 hours so that you can focus and do your job and I thought he did a great job of that today and players rallied around him.”

Bills Mafia is already stepping up to help out. Fans are donating $17 each on Josh's behalf to the Oishei Children's Hospital.

Our thoughts go out to Allen and his family after Patricia's passing.
