Josh Allen One Of The Most Hated Players In The NFL?

Before the season began, a few players in the NFL voted Josh Allen the most overrated quarterback in the NFL.  According to this study, he's also one of the most hated.

In Buffalo, it was hard to conceive that anyone would vote Josh Allen as one of the most overrated players.  Jim Kelly is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame because he wasn't just one of the best players to ever play for the Bills, but he's one of the best to ever play in the NFL during his time.  Not to diminish Kelly's career, but Josh Allen has smashed just about every record he ever held.

Then Allen was voted one of the biggest trash talkers in the league.  He didn't disagree with that, so neither will we.

However, the results of one of the latest surveys was a little bit of a shocker.  Did you know that Josh Allen is also one of the most hated players in the league?  The study was done by betting picks, parlays, predictions, and news brand, FlashPicks.  They analyzed the top 100 most popular NFL players’ official X accounts and calculated the number of abusive tweets sent to them by angry fans from the start of the season until now.

Josh Allen was 5th on the list (be aware that the list does include expletive language).  He has already been on the end of 756 expletive tweets this season.

It seems hard for Bills Mafia to believe but when you step back and think about it, it totally makes sense.  As much as we love him here in Buffalo, think of how many dreams he has crushed.  Every team that he's ever been able to beat has fans and I'm sure he's got plenty of people who are tired of watching him win.  Dolphins, Patriots, and Jets fans, in particular have to be pretty tired of Allen.

So we will take it.  If they hate him because he's winning, then let the haters hate.

Wondering who else made the top 5?  Tyreek Hill led the pack as the most hated.  Lamar Jackson, Travis Kelce, and Aaron Rogers were all ahead of Allen too.  The only other Buffalo Bills to make the list were Von Miller (74th) and Amari Cooper (99th).
