Keeping Your New Years Resolutions
Out with the old. . . in with the new! Wipe the slate clean. Making resolutions is about new beginnings. It's about starting over. Many people make them, but few stay true to their resolutions. I honestly can’t remember ever following through with a New Year’s Resolution. I think that’s true for most people and it’s probably because the resolutions we make are not realistic. Here are a few ideas to consider when making resolutions:
Make it realistic: If you say you want to run a marathon and you’re not a runner, it’s safe to say you will break that resolution.
Write your resolutions down: Set a deadline or a goal in writing. If it’s in black and white you might be more inclined to follow through.
Share your resolutions with others: Get support from friends and family so they can encourage you to complete it.
