Kellie Pickler Covers Maxim’s Military Issue

The North Carolina native who got her break on American Idol six years ago just completed her fifth USO Tour. She celebrates by flashing some flesh on the cover of Maxim’s Military issue.

In her interview with the men’s mag, Kellie reveals that she comes from a military family, brought a wounded Marine to the CMT Awards in lieu of her husband, and hates singing the National Anthem. TERRORIST!

Actually, performing the patriotic tune makes her anxious because she thinks everyone is waiting for her to mess up. She’s already been torched by a 5th grader in the smarts department in front of a nationwide audience – flubbing a few lyrics can’t be any worse. Besides, our former Crush of the Day always has soldiers - big and small – standing at full attention. We’ll let her slide … into something more comfortable.
