Pretty much everyone associates actor Kit Harington with the television show, Game of Thrones, starring as Jon Snow. The show was the definition of "must talk about" with friends, family, and co-workers after each episode.

Game of Thrones has ended for good though, and now, Harington will be part of another wildly successful franchise, the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.

During Disney's D23 Expo this past weekend, it was announced that Harington would play a role in the upcoming Marvel movie, The Eternals, playing the role of Dane Whitman, known better in the comics as the superhero, Black Knight.

It's unclear how large a role Harington's Black Knight will have in The Eternals (the Black Knight isn't an Eternal), which will be released on November 6th, 2020, but one would think that it wouldn't just be the first appearance of Dane Whitman (Black Knight) in the MCU.

It's a smart move on Disney/Marvel's part bringing Harington in, especially for this role as the Black Knight; a character that isn't too far removed from the essence of Game of Thrones, with the Black Knight being an excellent swordsman, extremely athletic and an expert horseman in the comics. It should be fun to see how Marvel uses this character!
