Last Chance To See Lady A This Weekend In Erie, Pennsylvania
It was one of the first tours to get back on the road this summer after the pandemic and now it's coming to an end. One of the last shows happens in Erie this weekend.
It's the "What A Song Can Do" tour from Lady A, and they're celebrating their last weekend close to us. They've got a date Friday in Erie, Pennsylvania, then Saturday in Albany, and Sunday in New Hampshire then it's a wrap.
I got the opportunity to talk with 1/3 of the band as Dave Haywood gave me a call this morning. We talked about everything from his new song that will be on the upcoming album to what he will be dressing up as for Halloween!
What it was like to be back on tour!
Lady A is out on their “What A Song Can Do” Tour…first of all…how did it feel the first moment you got back on stage…to be back out on the road with a full band…full cast…the whole shot for the first time since your residency in Vegas?
What he missed...that he didn't know he was going to miss...
There are things that we take for granted when it comes to shows…of course we miss being together with people…but…Is there something you realized now that you miss from touring that you never thought you would miss before you couldn’t do it?
On the supporting acts
Just a few more days left of the What A Song Can Do Tour…it closes out this weekend with a show Friday in Erie, Saturday in Albany…then Sunday in New Hampshire…I want to give you a little time to brag on your support acts…you’ve been on the road with Carly Pearce, Niko Moon, and Tenille Arts since July…tell us what you think stood out about each of them as they get their careers started with touring…
Do you guys have any pregame rituals that you do? Any pregame shots, or prayers…or chants? Anything like that?
On the new song written entirely by Dave Haywood
You’ve got a new album coming out on the 22nd…we got What A Song Can Do (Chapter 1) in June…now the full album comes out later this month…you’ve got a song on there that was written entirely by you called Workin’ On This Love that is really a poem for your wife…when you write something like that that is personal for your wife, how do you decide what you share with us and put on an album…and what you just save for you?
On Dressing Up For Halloween
Halloween is right around the corner…are the kids dressing up for Halloween this year? Do you dress up?
