Ex Buffalo Bill Says He Always Knew Josh Allen Was Special
The praise for Bills QB Josh Allen is commonplace these days. When he was drafted in 2018, there weren't many believers in Western New York. But, one of his former teammates now says that he knew Allen was special from the beginning.
When the Bills made Josh Allen the 7th pick of the first round of the 2018 NFL, you could hear a collective moan let out across Western New York. That year, there were several top Quarterback prospects expected to go in the first round. And when the draft started, several of them flew off the board. Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Josh Rosen were names that were on the minds of most of Bills Mafia. Veryfew people out there, yours truly was one of them, thought that Josh Allen of Wyoming should be The Bills choice.
Looking back at the QB class of 2018 now, it is abundantly clear that the Bills made the correct choice in drafting Allen. But, the believers at the time were few and far between.
One of Allen's former teammates, however, spoke out this week to say that he always thought that Allen was going to be special.
LeSean McCoy, Shady himself, was on The Herd with Colin Cowherd earlier this week and said:
When I seen him in Camp I was like...Woah. This kid is gonna be something special...Josh Allen is a Special player. He's a competitor...You could see the flashes, this kid is going to be special....He's probably the best out of the Quarterbacks I played with.

McCoy played for the Bills for four seasons, from 2015 to 2018, rushing for 3,814 yards (Sixth on the Bills' all-time rushing list) and 25 touchdowns.
