The COVID pandemic has brought challenges to just about everyone and for those who try to do any fundraising, it has been incredibly difficult. However, WNY comes always seems to come through and there is one young man in Lewiston who is asking for your help.

I received a message from a listener that introduced me to Charles Dieteman. Charles Dieteman is a senior and Lewiston Porter High School and has cerebral palsy. Every year for 9 years so since he was in 5th grade he has done a fundraiser to raise money for Empower formally known as Niagara Cerebral Palsy. Being his senior year it is his last year fundraising and the hope is that it will be his bets year yet!

According to his Facebook page, those who would like to donate can do so via Venmo @Charles-Dieteman.

Last year we raised just about $2,700 from home! I was so shocked to be able to do that without being able to even leave my house. So this year in addition to what we are doing at school I would like to again open up my Venmo for donations. If you don’t have Venmo you can message me for my address or I can come to you.

I'm hoping with your help, we can get behind Charles and support his fundraising goals. At the very least, I want to thank Charles for sharing his passion with us and educating us about Cerebal Palsy and how we can work to help make lives better for so many in our Western New York community!
