Great weekend for Joey Logano at Pocono. He had the fastest car in practice, he won the pole and finished in front, but he had to battle Mark Martin to do it. Logano was able to slip below Martin to take the lead with three laps left and won just his second career Sprint Cup race. This one was a whole lot sweeter than the first one. Logano claimed a rain-shortened victory at New Hampshire in 2009.

Martin was up front all day and had the lead in the closing stages. It looked like he’d finally get his first win at Pocono, but was forced to settle for second place for the seventh time.

Tony Stewart was third, followed by Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin.

There were a record 22 pit road speeding penalties and Johnson was tagged with two of them.

Matt Kenseth came in seventh, good enough to take over the points lead, 10 points up on Dale Earnhardt, Junior. Greg Biffle slipped to third place.

Junior led 36 laps, but finished eighth.

It’s off to Michigan next week.
