As the summer closes in, and the good weather heats up, police and other law enforcement officials are getting very busy here in Western New York.

As we get reports this week that President Biden plans to shut down the Southern Border when there is a surge of migrant activity, here in Buffalo, there is an ongoing concern for the border crossing between the United States and Canada.

There was word this week that United States Border Patrol agents made an arrest of a person who was trying to gain illegal access and entry in to the United States near Buffalo, New York.

In a news release that was sent to us this week, it was noted that: "On May 25, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Buffalo Station spotted a woman walking across the International Railroad Bridge in the city of Buffalo and enter an awaiting vehicle. However, Border Patrol agents and U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers prevented their departure from the area and arrested both subjects".

According to the news release, "The woman was determined to be from China, charged with unlawful entry into the U.S".

As far as the Southern Border, there is big news this week from Washington.
