Massive Moose Still NOT Leaving, New York State Officials Make Decision
Where can you see a moose in New York State? It is possible to see them right here in the Empire State and not have to travel far. Here is where you can find that viral moose in New York State.
A couple of months ago there was a massive moose spotting in New York State. Tupper Lake is a village in Franklin County, New York and you can see a huge moose there according to some of the residents! Take a look at this video below.
Here is the weird part, though.
The moose will not leave the spot and now New York State shut down the trail that it is on.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation closed the trail along Tupper Lake because the moose was on the trail and it apparently, would not move at all. The moose was at the base of the mountain on the trail and it is not leaving and officials shut it down so that people would not disturb to moose and to stop interested people from going to look and take pictures.
The moose is showing signs of some really unusual behavior and New York State DEC officials think that the moose might have some sort of illness. They returned back to the spot where the moose was last week, which was nearly 6 weeks after the original spotting of the moose happened along the Tupper Lake Trail. The New York State DEC officials determined that they will keep the trail closed.
There are about 650 moose in New York State, but it is important to note that generally moose encounters are not safe for humans.
