Massive Utility Bill Relief Coming From New York State
There is some great news coming to families who are struggling to make ends meet. New York State is going to be helping to pay the high utility bills for those who qualify.
There is a good chance that your air conditioner has been cranking this summer. The heat and humidity have been brutal and it seems as though the summer heat is going to hang on for awhile. What will the winter bring? Will it be colder than most?
While we wait to see what Mother Nature brings, one thing is for sure, the cost of heating and cooling and using electricity and natural gas is weighing on some families and relief is on the way.

According to reports, this initiative will provide Empower Plus participants with bill assistance to ensure they're not paying more than six-percent of their yearly household income toward electricity costs.
In a post from New York State it was noted that: "EmPower Plus will help 20,000 low-income families improve their homes by adding insulation, upgrading to energy efficient appliances, and switching from polluting fossil fuel heating to clean, efficient electric alternatives".
The summer is fading away and now is the time to look ahead and prepare for the fall and winter months. There are some who have to make the decision to eat or heat the house. New York State is helping to make both happen.
"Providing $200 million in relief for high electric bills. New York State will provide a credit to approximately 800,000 households that make under $75,000 to help pay burdensome electric bills".
