The oldest family-run business in New York State is now open for the season.

Mayer Brothers Cider Mill opened their country store and bakery today for the 173rd straight year.

Mayer Brothers first opened their cider mill in West Seneca back in 1852, and they have been open every year since then. While they have expanded over the years, they are still located in the same place in West Seneca that they were when they first opened.

According to their website, they are also the largest processor of apple cider in North America.

Mayer Brothers Is A Family Tradition For Many In Western New York

Growing up in West Seneca, it was a family tradition for our mom and dad to take my two brothers and me for a couple of donuts and cider on opening day.

Even with temperatures in the 90s this week, a trip to Mayer Brothers will make you feel like fall is coming up right around the corner.

Mayer Brothers Cider Mill and Bakery will be open today from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Their normal operating hours will be 7 am until 8 pm until October 31st. Then the hours shift to 7 am to 7 pm in the month of November.
