Why We Can't Get Enough Of Dierks Bentley At The Taste Of Country

The Towne Auto Taste of Country is coming up on June 26th and as we gear up for the big show, we're remembering some of the shows and artists that have made this event what it is now. Today, we're looking at the person who has been the headliner for more shows than any other.

By 2008, the Taste of Country was a well-oiled machine. At this point, we had put this show on so many times that we all knew where to be and when, and all there was left to do was have some fun. So we brought Dierks Bentley in to be our headliner.

It was a big deal to be able to bring Phil Stacey in, even if it was just to sing the anthem before the show. At the time, American Idol was at its peak, and to have one of their most recent contestants join our lineup was awesome.

We've had a lot of big stars at this show. We've hosted Luke Combs, Randy Owen from Alabama, Tim McGraw, and more. We've had some come back multiple times like Rodney Atkins, Sara Evans, and Josh Turner. But none of them have headlined the Taste of Country more than Dierks Bentley. He's been the headliner for this show three times with his first starting in 2008. The only other star that has even come close is Billy Currington, who has been our headliner 2 times.
