It looks like another round of winter snow is headed our way here in Western New York. What started off as a very cold Tuesday morning will be followed up with widespread snow this evening and into Wednesday.

Winter Weather Advisory Extended In Western New York

The winter weather advisory that was in place for the southern part of Western New York has been extended through Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Wyoming, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, and Southern Erie counties from 7 pm on Tuesday until 1 pm on Wednesday.

An additional 3-5 inches of snow is possible over the next 24 hours. It could end up impacting travel around those counties, so if you are traveling around the 716, be prepared for slower-than-normal traffic.

More snow is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, before we get a shot of sunshine on Friday, and then some milder weather on Saturday. That won't last too long as more snow and colder temperatures are expected on Sunday and early next week as another cold front is expected to sweep across Western New York.

Warmer Weather Headed To Western New York

There is some good news on the horizon, as the Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a warmer than normal month of March. While it will start off cold, things will warm up as the month progress and overall we will be a couple of degrees warmer than normal for the month.

Let's hope that warming trend comes early and lasts long, because I don't know about you, but I am done with the cold and snow for this winter.
