A new out-of-town development company has its sites and vision of adding an additional housing complex to a section of Main Street in Buffalo. And the great news is that will be affordable.

There is a Cincinnati-based company looking to resurrect and revive the section located at 1689 Main Street, near Canisius College for development.

The company is looking to build 147 apartments and seven townhomes, all within a budget that will be in an affordable housing range.

WGRZ has the development about this new development that will cost approximately $50 million dollars.

This is very encouraging for anyone working, living, or going to school in Buffalo. Plus, the brand new development will definitely be a welcomed site considering the closed-up, dilapidated eyesores that are in and around that area.

The area is close to everything.  The Delaware Park system is a great place to relax or get some exercise, The Albright Know-Art Galley, The Buffalo Zoo, and what about the easy accessibility to get on the 33? Hertel Avenue, the Chippewa Strip, and downtown Buffalo are all within 10-15 minutes.

New housing in any area certainly means more opportunity for that community to grow. Whether it be by adding more restaurants, shopping centers, grocery stores, or jobs.
