New York’s First Girl Only Boy Scout Troop To Launch In Rochester
2019 will be a big year for one boy scout troop in Rochester, NY.
This year the Boy Scouts of America will be open to girls for the first time in its 108 year history.
Last year, girls were allowed to be in Cub scout troops, but now girls will be welcomed in all facets of the scouting program. Two moms in Fairport got together and will launch what will be the first all-girl troop of the Boys Scouts of America here in New York. Troop 2019

While the Boy Scouts of America will now allow girls to enter the program, The Girls Scouts of America will only be open to girls 5-18.
