If your kid is the one that is the class bully, it may cost you!

Parents in at least on town in Wisconsin are facing the possibility that a fine will be imposed if they don't get their child to behave.

According to Yahoo.com:

Sun Prairie Alder Maureen Combie is calling on the city to consider fining the parents of bullies anywhere from $50 to $1,000, after other parents have asked for more accountability for adults. The ordinance would include verbal, physical and electronic harassment.

Back in the day (here is where I sound old),parents of bullied kids would teach them to stand up for themselves. As more and more kids interact online, it becomes easier for kids to be bullied. It may be happening and parents on both sides don't even realize until it becomes too late. The threat of being fined may get parents to monitor their child's conversations online or social media.

While I think that government shouldn't have a hand in how you discipline your kids. There are parents that just don't seem to understand that they need to be more involved in what their children are doing and how they treat others.
