Paula's Donuts is adding to the menu.
The Western New York bakery announced a new donut today, and for a very good reason.
Paula's Donuts will be selling a Nutella Cannoli Chip donut, and proceeds from the sale of it will benefit Hospice Buffalo.
They made the announcement earlier today on social media.
Fifty percent of the sales of the Nutella Cannoli Chip donut will be donated to Hospice Buffalo from May 28 through Sunday May 30.
Previous iterations of Paula's Cannoli donuts have been a customer favorite, and have paid off big in the past for Hospice Buffalo.
When it first debuted in 2019, lines were crazy for the Cannoli Donut.
According to WKBW, over $60,000 was raised in 2019.
The donuts are all made by hand, so it is truly a labor of love.
This year's Cannoli Donut has a nutty twist -- it's filled with Nutella creme and stuffed with chocolate chips.
Even in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Paula's Donuts was able to raise $45,000 for Hospice Buffalo during last year's fundraiser before the stores temporarily shut down in the interest of public health and safety.
Western New Yorkers don't often need a good reason to pick up some donuts, but in case you do -- remember that 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the Nutella Cannoli Chip donut from May 28 through Sunday May 30, will be donated to Hospice Buffalo.
Paula's Donuts was established in 1966 and has remained a Western New York staple ever since.
The Nutella Cannoli Chip donuts will be available at all three Paula's Donuts locations.
