As we get ready for a busy Holiday weekend, there are reports that portions of New York State will have to boil water before they use it.

The recent storms that blasted across the mid west and here in New York State made a mess of roads, farms and backyards. Some towns in New York State got more than two inches of rain in less than an hour!

But it was what happened under the ground that has officials posting a water alert for various towns in The Empire State.

According to reports, people who live in parts of Troy and North Greenbush remain under a boil water advisory. The impacted areas include Troy's east side from Pawling Avenue to Congress Street and all side streets as well as Winter Street to the city line.

It was just a few weeks ago that residents in the Southern Tier of New York State had issues with water and sewage!

Hopefully the issues will be resolved prior to what is the unofficial start to the summer!
