Rachel’s Mediterranean Grill, with several locations throughout Western New York, promises a “healthy, balanced lifestyle without sacrificing the taste of delicious food,” and their many Buffalo-based locations deliver that daily to their legions of fans of the restaurant’s popular Greek bowls and wraps.

However, one local company isn’t thrilled with what the chain has delivered to them, and has taken them to court.

Lamparelli Construction Co. Inc., a Cheektowaga, New York based construction company, filed a complaint in Erie County court for nonpayment of work completed at five Rachel’s restaurants throughout Western New York, totaling $283,392 in unpaid services since 2021.

A new Rachel’s location was under construction by Lamparelli Construction on Niagara Falls Blvd., but the president of the company said they stopped work three months ago before the project could be completed due to the lack of payment.

In a statement to Buffalo Business First, Brandon Guzda, Rachel’s Mediterranean Director of Operations, stated:

“Like all in this industry, we have been experiencing unpredictable and unprecedented times… We are thoughtful of the businesses that couldn’t make it, and will continue to do everything possible to rectify every issue, and make the best of every situation-opportunity in the near future.”
