A Reese's Peanut Butter commercial recently caught my eye, or rather, my ear. I heard it mention Tonawanda. Funny (and short) story. I hate peanuts and peanut butter, but I love Reese's and have my whole life. I know, it's weird. Anyway, the commercial is poking fun at a man in Tonawanda named Artie. The voiceover guy says they recently got "a real letter, like on paper." He then proceeds to shout out Artie and tell him that he can email the company. Who knows if it's real or not, but it's pretty dope that Tonawanda got a shout-out in a Reese's commercial. You can check it out below.

If there's a real Artie from Tonawanda, kudos to you for having your name dropped in a Reese's ad!

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Have Been Around Almost A Century

I'm not big on sweets, but Reese's just do something for me. I'm often suckered into buying them at the checkout aisle. I actually just recently bought an 8-pack from Target (don't judge me). Reese's has a long history in the United States and I must not be the only person who falls victim to the peanut butter and chocolate mash-up. They've been around almost 100 years, so I assume there's a pretty decent demand for the candy,

In the early 1920s, H.B. Reese, an employee of The Hershey Company, started making candy in the basement of his Hershey home. When Reese created Peanut Butter Cups as part of an assortment of candies in 1928, the first generation of chocolate and peanut butter fans made the candy his bestselling item.

I usually just stick to the original cups, but apparently, there are tons of Reese's-based products to choose from,

The REESE'S product line includes over 100 candy bars, spreads, cookies, and cereals. Currently, the REESE'S brand has approximately 100 products available now, including REESE'S cups made with milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white crème in a variety of sizes.

If you're a huge Reese's fan and want to reach out to the brand, you can email, call, or text them here. Who knows, you might be the next person they shout out in a commercial!
