Remember When This Italian Restaurant in Buffalo Was Featured On The Food Network?
Other than the wonderful people and the sports teams (Bills and Sabres), the best thing about living in Buffalo has to be the amazing food.
Wings, Buffalo-style pizza, beef on weck, Sahlen's, loganberry, sponge candy, the list goes on. It's sorely missed when people move out of Western New York to other regions of the country.
I would argue that The Food Network has not been up to Western New York nearly enough times to feature the amazing food and local restaurants here, but they have been up a few times for their hit show, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives; hosted by Guy Fieri.
Fieri goes to different local restaurants in each show, to showcase the food at the diner, drive-in or dive and the town or city it's in.
One of the most popular episodes, at least for Buffalonians, was when Fieri and The Food Network visited Mulberry Italian Ristorante in Lackawanna, NY.
Mulberry is regarded as one of the best restaurants in Western New York and certainly one of the best Italian restaurants in the region. The homemade pasts dishes, giant meatballs, and their signature lasagna keeps locals coming back.
The huge meatballs and lasagna were the two featured dishes on the episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and is such an awesome watch for Buffalo and Lackawanna natives who have been there time after time.
Fieri is very impressed by the food and just how it's prepared from scratch every single day.
