Robert Hegyes, TV’s Sweathog Juan Epstein, Dead at 60

If you grew up in the 70's like me, then you remember the TV show "Welcome Back Kotter". One of the stars of the show, Robert Hegyes a.k.a. Sweathog Juan Epstein has passed away at age 60 yesterday of an apparent heart attack. Robert played Juan Epstein on the show for four years alongside John Travolta. Gabe Kaplan, Ron Palillo and Marcia Strassman. In my opinion, this was one of the best TV shows from the 70's because of the great writing and the excellent acting from the cast. Hegyes later went on to many other acting jobs including starring roles on Cagney & Lacey and the Drew Carey Show.
