They're all big games here on out for the Buffalo Sabres and tonight's game matches two of the hottest teams in the league when the Sabres host the Pittsburgh Penguins.  The Sabres are back into a tie with the Washington Capitals for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference entering tonight's game after the Caps beat the Bruins in a shootout 3-2.  But the Sabres can move back ahead of the Caps with a win or even if they reach overtime.

Tonight also marks the return of the Party in the Plaza.  It includes live music, food and beverages starting at 5 pm in the plaza just outside the arena.  Fans without a ticket can watch the game from two large screen TV's.  For fans with tickets they'll find reduced prices on concessions and special Fan Appreciation Night prices on merchandise in the Sabres store.

Before the game the team will hand out player awards including Unsung Hero, Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player and  7th Man.

Following the game players will meet fans on the ice to present them with the jerseys they wore during the game and Lindy Ruff will present a fan with his tie.

The Sabres 50/50 raffle to benefit the Alumni and Sabres foundations will have a guaranteed pot of at least $25,000.
