7 Things To Do Now That Spring Has Arrived in Buffalo
With the first day of spring being March 20th, we all are eager to get back outside and the removal of a lot of the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions has made it the perfect opportunity to begin living life again in the Buffalo area.
There are so many things for us to cross off of our to-do list, there are tons of free activities but exactly where do you start?
There might still be a little bit of ice on Hoyt Lake, but spring means that its the perfect time to take a stroll around what Fredrick Law Olmstead called the grandest park in the best planned city … in the United States, if not the world.
Have Brunch Outside At The Terrace in Delaware Park
After that nice long walk around the meadow and Japenesse Garden, I can't wait to stop at the Delaware Park Casino to sit out on the balcony insde The Terrace.
Flying a Kite
My dad used to always tell me to go fly a kite when I would ask a silly question. The interesting thing is, I still have never flown one - ever. This spring I'm going to head down to Buffalo's Outer Harbor State Park and fly my very first kite.
Grab Some Ice Cream From Hanna's
One of my favorite things to do during a Buffalo Spring and Summer is to take a quick trip over to Hanna's in North Buffalo. This has to be on your Spring to-do list.
Playing a round (or 3) of Golf
The Buffalo area boasts some pretty amazing private and public golf courses. Now that spring has arrived, you can play a quick 18 holes without having to wear your parka.
Waiting in Line at Delta Sonic For a Car Wash
This is single-handedly my favorite and least favorite spring activity, getting my car washed at Delta Sonic. However, we all know the line is going to be prety long, so just make sure you have some good tunes on deck.
Taking a Drive Down Niagara Scenic Parkway With The Top Open
Well, now that you got the car washed, go ahead and hop on the 190 North towards Niagara Falls State Park. Once you make it on the Niagara Scenic Parkway, formerly known as the Robert Moses Parkway, it's time to drop the top and turn up your favorite Radio Station.
What are some spring activities you can't wait to get started on?
