For a couple of years now, Buffalo has been anxiously awaiting a new golf entertainment center that was supposed to be constructed on Elm Street in downtown Buffalo. Now, it looks like we might have to wait a little while longer.

Golf has been around for years, but with the endorsement of major celebrities like Josh Allen, it's begun to pick up steam with even younger crowds. Across the country, there are entertainment centers called Top Golf popping up all over the place. They're essentially driving ranges that make driving golf balls as much fun as playing video games.

Buffalo is in line to get a similar venue soon, but according to Buffalo Business First, it looks as though construction might be a little delayed.

Shot Club Social Buffalo is still on track to come to Buffalo

Back in 2023, the news came through that Doug Swift would be the developer on a new project to bring a 48,000 square-foot golf venue to downtown Buffalo. It's called Shot Club Social Buffalo. It is supposed to not only include golf driving bays that can be used year-round, but also duck-pin bowling, a bar, and a dining area.

In July, they said they would submit construction plans to the city by the end of the month.

They're hoping to submit plans soon

According to Buffalo Business First, they're still planning on breaking ground soon. they hope to begin with the project this spring and expect that construction will take anywhere from 15-18 months to complete.
