February is the last full month of winter and it has been quite the month for cold and snow. It seems we're talking about one of them, if not both and Western New York will see snow and dangerously cold temperatures this weekend.

WIVB 4 Warn Weather reports that there will be a "significant winter storm" that will likely bring widespread accumulating snow to Western New York on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

It's still too early to tell how much snow parts of Western New York will get but the cold will also be a big story.

Wind chills will be well below zero Sunday into Monday, which means it's best to spend as little time as possible outside this weekend. It looks as if temperatures won't rebound until the middle of next week.

The bitterly cold temperatures will also not make that snow that has already fallen, go away anytime soon. There's already a thick level of ice and compact snow in our back parking lot of my building.
