The temperature in Western New York is going to reach -6 below without wind chill on Thursday and a very similar temperature on Friday as well. This week has been nothing short of pure winter weather across New York State and even the United States of America. The next time the temperature will be above 20° will be next week where the high temperature all week long will fluctuate between 20 and 24°.

The -6 temperature does not even include wind chill which could force schools to close due to just the cold temperature the next couple of days in New York state.

From New Mexico all the way to Maine there have been abnormal temperatures, freezes, power outages and lots of disruptions. Here in New York state we started at the end of last week with a state of emergency and have not looked back.

Although most of the threatening snow is moved out the chilling temperatures have been absolutely wild and have not been above 20° in nearly 7 days. Thursday and Friday will be the worst temperature wise with -6 being the overnight lows and a mere 12 to 15° as the high.

The next time that the temperature will be over 20° will be most of next week, but barely above 20° with temperatures hovering in the low twenties.
