Massive Snow + Wind Storm Will Reach Up to 55 MPH
New York State is going to get hit with a lot of snow and very strong winds over the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend. Winds are going to be over 55 miles per hour and cause a headache for homeowners and travelers, especially with the snow that is expected to arrive.
Before the storm, it is going to be unreasonably warm with temperatures in the mid 50s and then all of a sudden the cold front is going to come in and the snow is going to crush parts of New York State. All of upstate by the Adirondack mountains is going to get almost 12" of snow.
If you are in Western New York along the lake, especially in the southern tier you are going to get a lot of snow of course because you are right by the lake. Expect a minimum of 7-12 inches of snow.
We have a chart that you can read so no matter what town you are in you can see what the snow forecast for WHEN and WHAT DAY you can expect snow coming to your town for the following cities:
Batavia, New York
Buffalo, New York
Canandaguia, New York
Dunkirk, New York
Fulton, New York
Jamestown, New York
Lowville, New York
Niagara Falls, New York
Olean, New York
Rochester, New York
Springville, New York

You probably saw a lot of rain in your area the past couple of days which hopefully dries up in time before the snow gets to your area because otherwise it is going to be very icy. The highway departments across New York State are very stocked with salt and ready for the holiday and the weekend afterwards.
