Summer Will Be More Expensive For Buffalo Drivers

The summer is here and that means warm weather, fairs and festivals and higher gas prices!

There is a report to begin the week and the summer that says drivers in the Buffalo area will be paying more for gas to start the dig days. According to Triple A, the average cost for a gallon of regular is now $3.07. That's up four cents in the last week, a dime in the last month and is $.88 higher than this time last year.

There are so many great things to look forward to this summer around Western New York. The state and national COVID restrictions are being lifted and the county fairs, festivals and concerts are going to be back up and running. Many at full capacity! If you are planning a road trip, you may want to seek out the best prices around Western New York. Or plan ahead and find the most economical way to get to where you want to be.

Just last week, a new gas/fuel station opened up neat downtown and the Seneca Creek Casino. Because it is Native American owned, the prices are much lower and, at last check, were hovering around $2.78 per gallon.

Last year, because of the pandemic, we took a few road trips around Western New York and found gas prices that were as low as $.75 per gallon on the reservation. It will be a lot more expensive to do that kind of traveling this summer.
