American Idol judges

American Idol fans are still trying to figure out who will be sitting alongside the $18 million a year Mariah Carey on the judges panel.  So far, we've heard names like Aretha Franklin, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Adam Lambert etc..etc..  One big name country artist who reportedly rejected the offer is

American Idol has certainly seen its fair share of country singers.  It's produced some big stars in country radio, too.  From Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler to Kelly Clarkson and one of the newest country stars, Scotty McCreery, they've all gotten their start from being on the American Idol stage.  But has the show finally come to a screeching stop?
