"I think at some point, you've got to step aside and let young guys that are qualified have their shot," Nix said during today's news conference, during which he announced his resignation as Buffalo Bills GM. "I never put a timetable on it. I always felt like I'd know when it was the right time."

It's official. The Bills are in the market for a new quarterback. After hearing the comments from Buddy Nix about his gunslinger just a few days ago, I'm not really surprised.  He's done some great things for the Bills, but evidently not enough.  Today the Bills parted ways with Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Buddy Nix was the subject of a nasty prank that was posted on the website Deadspin.  He thought he was talking only to Tampa Bay GM Mark Dominik.  What he didn't know was that his line was also being heard by a couple 20 year olds that were listening in and recording the conversation.

I would like to think so.

No, not like utility bills, the Buffalo Bills!! I don't know if it's the New Era Bills cap I just bought or the new Stevie Johnson Nike jersey I picked up but I got a fever... Bills fever! It's the Bills fault I feel like this.

Today was a great day to be a Buffalo Bills fan.  That's not always the case.  But today, the Bills front office found a way to land one of the most sought after free agents in the league aside from Peyton Manning.  In order to do that they parted with quite a bit of cash.  But nonetheless, they got the deal done and have made their team better by doing so.
