Many people just kind of end up in a profession.  For many it was just a matter of circumstances that brought them into a line of work.  I know people who had no idea what they wanted to do even during their senior year in college.

For those out of work and looking for a job there’s a website called CareerCast that has a job search site. It can help you create a resume, get e-mail job alerts. It allows employers to post jobs. It has job advice and job rankings. And each year they rank the best jobs, the worst jobs and the most stressful jobs.

Pretty much everyone knows how much trouble the economy has had over the last several years creating jobs. But some sectors have been bright spots, with booming growth and solid earning potential, enough to be called the best new jobs in America.
