Tim McGraw and Jim Kelly have been friends for a long time now and it is no doubt that Buffalo loves the both of them. Jim Kelly came out to throw out footballs on stage and an unexpected, loud nonstop roar came for Jim Kelly.

I've been an on air personality in radio for many years -- in fact, just as long as Tim McGraw has been making hits! Last night, Tim's Shotgun Rider tour stopped at Darien Lake, and he invited us on stage to watch him perform a couple of songs.

Tim McGraw played Darien Lake last night, and he had some pretty big friends in low places back stage. I think Tyler Skulski said it best on Twitter when he said, "It's not a Buffalo country concert until Jim Kelly throws footballs into the crowd from the stage."

Backstage at Darien Lake, Toby Keith offered up a shot of his brand of Mezcal Tequila 'Wild Shot' and guess who got the worm? Me! Having grown up on a farm I didn't think this would be a problem,  but then again it's a worm, yuck!

The question that we hear most often is "who is the coolest person you have met?" After being in radio for nearly 20 years, I've had the chance to meet quite a few stars and significant personalities that have come through Buffalo.

Last Friday's Celebration of Hope was not only entertaining, but it was inspiring at the same time. Families and survivors came together with staff and volunteers and friends from Roswell Park to show their support in the fight against cancer. One moment sticks out as the most memorable...

Brad Paisley brought a little boy up on stage with him at the Darien Lake show on Sunday night in Western New York! What happens when a bunch of rednecks hook an Xbox up to a jumbotron? Mario Cart! (And for the record, we stole that joke from Brad himself!)

Toward the start of Brad Paisley's show at Darien Lake in Western New York, the country star gave away an acoustic guitar to a little girl in the crowd! Another reason why country stars are so awesome! They always see to have stories like this.

Kellie Pickler was in Buffalo, NY, on Friday, June 26, for the Ride for Roswell Celebration of Hope. It also happened to be the her husband's birthday. Kyle Jacobs is a country songwriter, guitarist and writer. He is also a producer and worked with Lee Brice on 'Hard 2 Love'.
