Dog Show

So as we were flipping through the channels on Thanksgiving day, came across the dog show.  What I don't get is why the announcers whisper? Wouldn't it be funny if they used a circus style music or perhaps use the music that fits the dog.  For example...the winning dog...the Irish Setter...how about "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling?"
