Little Big Town announced on Monday (Nov. 26) that they have been forced to reschedule two upcoming concerts in Riverside, Calif. and Los Angeles after a sudden death in their immediate family. The group broke the news to fans via their official Facebook page.

To promote their upcoming album, 'Tornado,' Little Big Town hit the small screen bright and early on Thursday for a performance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.' The award-winning foursome was all smiles as they took the stage to perform 'Pontoon' for a crowd.

In our daily prep for the morning show, I ran across a story on Little Big Town.  The group has had such success with the song “Pontoon” (the first single from the album 'Tornado'), that they are worried about what the follow-up single should be.

Months ago when the song ‘Pontoon’ was released by Little Big Town I knew it would become the 2012 Summer Anthem and it exceeded the anthem status by hitting the top of the charts.  Little Big Town has their first number one single and the song also reached Platinum certification selling more than one million digital downloads.

Country music’s biggest talents have come together to celebrate the song of the summer ‘Pontoon’ by Little Big Town.  Superstars Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and more have caught  ‘Pontoon’ fever and appear in a star-filled video to salute the song.

It’s a busy month for new country music releases in September 2012, with no less than 10 albums from major country music stars hitting the shelves. While few are using the day after Labor Day to release new music, Sept. 11 is literally packed with new music. Little Big Town, Kix Brooks and Aaron Lewis are just three of the artists with new albums out that day.

Grammy-nominated country group Little Big Town will release their fifth studio album on September 11. Recorded in Nashville with producer Jay Joyce (whose credits include Eric Church), ‘Tornado’ features the band’s current hit single, ‘Pontoon.’

I was able to get home to Michigan last week to see family and friends, and if you thought it was hot here in Buffalo last week, it was nothing like the 99-degree weather we had in Mount Pleasant, my hometown.

I have always been a fan of Little Big Town. For some reason, they remind me of a country Fleetwood Mac. I have been patiently waiting for them to score a huge hit as it has been quite a while. Their new song "Pontoon" has been one of our most requested songs on my Noon Tunes Request Show...

"Pontoon" was able to hold its title as champ again last week as Little Big Town took on Miranda Lambert on The Friday Night Fight.  So it's Little Big Town that's back again tonight for week number 3.  They're taking on Randy Houser with his new hit, "How Country Feels".  Let's Get It On!!
