Little Big Town announced on Monday (Nov. 26) that they have been forced to reschedule two upcoming concerts in Riverside, Calif. and Los Angeles after a sudden death in their immediate family. The group broke the news to fans via their official Facebook page.
To promote their upcoming album, 'Tornado,' Little Big Town hit the small screen bright and early on Thursday for a performance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.' The award-winning foursome was all smiles as they took the stage to perform 'Pontoon' for a crowd.
In our daily prep for the morning show, I ran across a story on Little Big Town. The group has had such success with the song “Pontoon” (the first single from the album 'Tornado'), that they are worried about what the follow-up single should be.
Months ago when the song ‘Pontoon’ was released by Little Big Town I knew it would become the 2012 Summer Anthem and it exceeded the anthem status by hitting the top of the charts. Little Big Town has their first number one single and the song also reached Platinum certification selling more than one million digital downloads.

It’s a busy month for new country music releases in September 2012, with no less than 10 albums from major country music stars hitting the shelves. While few are using the day after Labor Day to release new music, Sept. 11 is literally packed with new music. Little Big Town, Kix Brooks and Aaron Lewis are just three of the artists with new albums out that day.

I was able to get home to Michigan last week to see family and friends, and if you thought it was hot here in Buffalo last week, it was nothing like the 99-degree weather we had in Mount Pleasant, my hometown.
I have always been a fan of Little Big Town. For some reason, they remind me of a country Fleetwood Mac. I have been patiently waiting for them to score a huge hit as it has been quite a while.
